WA State Aircraft Excise Tax - Fall 2010 Legislative Session and Beyond ( 9:00 - 10:00 AM )
As any aircraft owner in the state of Washington is aware, the WA 2010 Spring Legislative Session seriously considered onerous new increases in the Aircraft Excise Tax. Through the successful efforts of WPA, PNBAA and the Washington Aviation Coalition, this increase was avoided. A condition of this effort was that the Coalition would propose alternate legislation for when the issues arises again (as it is bound to do in the coming 2010 Fall Session). This forum will examine the tax contribution General Aviation currently provides, a comparison of auto, boat and aircraft tax burden and will seek comment and input to the drafting of alternate legislation. Presenter: John Dobson President of Washington Pilot's Association |
