A CBP form 178 is
NOT required for all Canadian Aircraft landing at Arlington During the Fly-In.
Additional information for eAPIS filling. Since Arlington is only a port of entry during the Fly-In, the eAPIS filing system does not recognize the designator KAWO. Please use KPAE as the destination and in the notes indicate you are arriving direct at KAWO (putting KAWO as the arrival point in the notes is highly important).
KAWO is a temporary port of entry during July 7 - 11, local CBP personnel are intent on making your arrival as easy as possible.
Only aircraft with US or Canadian passports will be allowed to land direct to Arlington.
Operating hours of the call in number for the air show will be 0630 to 1400 all days except July 11th where the hours will be 0630 to 1200.
No aircraft will be given permission to land 30 minutes prior to the closing of each days scheduled hours. Any aircraft that can not land and get to the CBP inspection site prior to this time will have to land at another CBP facility for clearance.
EAA has provided a comprehensive tutorial for pilots to navigate the Customs Border Patrol APIS system that was implemented May 18th, 2010. http://www.eaa.org/news/2009/2009-05-21_cbp.asp
Please read all the above information carefully. CBP has provided a direct phone number to receive permission to land after you have filed your APIS information.
Arlington Fly-In will provide access for Canadian Pilots to file APIS electronically before they depart. Check your pilot registration receipt for detailed information.
